Property Retrieval
The Evidence Division can only release property with prior authorization from the Case Officer/Detective, State Attorney’s Office, and/or a Return of Property court order.
For Faster Service
- Case Number: Have your case number ready. An Evidence Technician will verify that your property is cleared for release, and an appointment will then be scheduled for Wednesday or Thursday between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
- ID Required: Bring a government-issued ID for identification.
- Third-Party Pick-Up: You may authorize someone else to retrieve your property with a notarized letter designating them as your representative. The original notarized letter must be presented at the appointment—copies are not accepted.
