Public Information Office (PIO) & Media Relations

Meet the PIO team

The Port St. Lucie Police Department’s Public Information Office is dedicated to transparency, accuracy and timely communication with the media and the community. Our team ensures journalists and the public have access to official updates, safety information and department news.

The PIO team coordinates press releases, manages media inquiries, provides on‑scene information during major events and facilitates interviews with subject‑matter experts. Our goal is to support an informed community by sharing verified, up‑to‑date information.

Media Requests

Media partners can request interview coordination, incident or case updates, story verification, official statements and access to PIO-released public information.

Media Portal

The media portal is a self-service online hub where approved media partners can quickly access official information, including press releases, photos, videos, and other previously released updates from the Public Information Office.

This portal helps ensure that accurate, verified information is easily available, supporting clear communication between the Police Department, the media and the community.

How to request access to the media portal:

  1. If you are a media professional and would like access to the portal, please email the Public Information Office at PIODL@cityofpsl.com.
  2. Once your request is approved, you’ll receive login instructions and can begin using the portal.
